Synth network
The Synth network is SpaceInvasion's huge skill tree: 346 nodes that let you shape your empire around your own play style.
The Synth network is a vast web of 346 nodes. Each node improves one specific thing – resource production, build times, fleet speed, combat power, espionage, recycling or escape flights. You spend Synth points to activate nodes and build your very own specialization. Two players with the same number of points can end up strong in completely different ways, depending on what they focus on.
How it works
- 1 point = 1 node: every activated node costs exactly one Synth point. Synth points explains where the points come from.
- Always connected: a new node must touch the centre or one of your nodes. Three branches start at the centre, and the furthest node is 25 steps away.
- Save: newly placed nodes are only planned at first. Click “Save” to lock them into your network.
- Upgrade: every node starts at gray and can be boosted up to orange with Synth energy and cores – see Node grades & cores.
- Generate energy: you produce Synth energy, cores and fragments with the Synth Former and AI-Core at your Quantum Array – see Synth energy, Former & AI-Core.
The three branches
The first branch starts with a Fusion plant node and is packed with economy: production, storage, energy, build times, research, scanners, raid colonies and asteroids. The second and smallest branch starts with attack power against aliens and revolves around alien waves, loot and combat luck. The third and largest branch starts at the recyclers and leads to fleet, defense, espionage, escape flight and recycling.
When do nodes take effect?
Economy bonuses such as production, storage or build times work right after saving. Combat and fleet values – fleet speed, attack, defense, shield domes, combat luck, the extra combat round and the recycler return boost – only switch on after a random waiting time of several hours. That way nobody can turn a battle around with nodes placed at the last minute.
Below you'll find the network's eight categories. Each category page lists every node type with its effect, its value at each grade and how often it appears in the network.
