Starcruiser

The starcruiser marks the start of the mid class. It combines 250 attack with 100 shield and can take almost three times as much damage as a warship. In return, it is fairly slow.

Strengths and weaknesses

• + Lots of firepower per ship and a sturdy shield.
• + Already available with a mid-level weapons factory.
• – Much slower than the Phoenix, which uses the same engine.
• – Against very strong guns like the Solar cannon its shield is not enough.

Starcruisers are a good backbone for attacks on medium-sized defenses and for protecting your planets. Later on, the Phoenix and the battleship complement or replace them.
