Welcome, Commander! You start with your own planet with 230 building fields, 1,200 Pig iron and 800 Kryptonite. Your goal: build up mines and energy, do research, create a fleet and expand to more planets – while protecting everything from other players. This page guides you through your first hours.
The first hour: a proven build order
- Build a Fusion plant, then a Pig iron mine and a Kryptonite mine. Mines need energy – so keep upgrading these three buildings in turns.
- Always keep an eye on your energy display. If it turns negative, all mines on the planet produce less. Plan a matching power plant level for every mine upgrade (Energy).
- Build a Blast furnace. It turns Pig iron into Metal, which you need for almost everything.
- Build a Spice mine. Spice is the most valuable resource and the fuel of every fleet.
- Build the Development center. Every level clearly shortens the construction time of all buildings – one of the best investments early on.
- Build the Research lab and start researching – for example Mining technology for more mining output and Energy technology for more energy.
- Build the Weapons factory and the Fleet base. They get you your first ships and let you send out fleets. The Tech tree shows what is still missing: green means you can build it, red means requirements are still missing.
Keep an eye on resources and storage
Under Economy you can see what each planet produces per hour. Upgrade your warehouses (Pig iron warehouse, Metal warehouse, Kryptonite warehouse, Spice warehouse) in time: once a warehouse is full, that resource is only produced at 5 % of the normal amount. More on this: Resources.
Fleet, loot and the escape flight
Ships and resources left unprotected on a planet attract attackers. So get used to the escape flight (also called save flight) right from the start: before you go offline, send your ships away with as many resources as possible on a flight that only returns once you are back online. Load Spice first, then Metal, Kryptonite and finally Pig iron.
You can make your first loot from inactive players – they appear in yellow in the galaxy (Galaxy map). Spy on them first (espionage) so you know what to expect. The planets of Spacia are also a popular target (Spacia).
Your first colony
With a Colony ship you settle free planets (colonization). Every additional planet brings its own mines and therefore more production. In the galaxy you can see roughly how many building fields to expect on a free slot. Cold planets produce more Spice, warm ones deliver more solar energy. If your planets are close together, transport and escape flights are short. Spread out further, you can reach more targets.
Protection for newcomers
Up to 10,000 points you are protected from attacks – but during this time you can only attack inactive players yourself. After that, your points decide who is allowed to attack you (Points & Attack Zones).
