日本語Defense systems
+10% structure per level for ships and defenses – the armor that counts once the shield is down.
Effect
Defense systems increase the structure – in other words the armor – of your ships and defenses by 10% per level. The structure takes over once the shield has been broken: if it drops to zero, the unit is destroyed.
It requires a Research lab at level 5. Defense systems unlock Phoenix (level 5) and Positron lighter (level 6).
Together with Weapons technology and Shield technology, Defense systems belong to the combat trio that has a say in every battle (Combat system).
Background
The defense systems protect the ship from being destroyed and increase the strength of the ship's entire structure. Its structure increases by 10% for each level completed, thus making the ship more resilient to attack. That's why it's highly recommended to research this technology as soon as you can.
