Black holes

White, green, purple, red or orange: what black hole colors mean and how to attack them successfully.

Black holes keep appearing in the systems of your universe – especially where many players live. Behind each one is a group of aliens with a required attack power and sometimes specific ship types you have to send along.

The colors

  • White: Very easy opponents without ship requirements – only for players below 25 million points (Points & Attack Zones).
  • Green (easy): From 25 million points on you only attack colored black holes. Green ones are no big challenge and rarely demand specific ships.
  • Purple (hard), listed as "blue" in the wave statistics: tougher opponents that almost always demand specific ships, but pay out more.
  • Red (alliance): Gigantic groups of enemies that withstand many attacks – ideal for working through together with your alliance. They also reward mentor stars.
  • Orange (boss): The wave boss, currently every other week. More on that below.

Planning an attack

Click a black hole to see the required attack power, required ships, Spice reward and flight time. Put together at least as much attack power from your wave fleet as required, and send every required ship along. The attack takes up a fleet slot.

Black holes grow: at regular intervals (the "Upgrade in" timer) their attack power and reward go up – and the more often a hole is attacked, the faster it grows. After a certain number of attacks, or when its time runs out, it closes. If a hole closes before you arrive, you get the wave attack power you committed back.

Visible or invisible: Each day you have a few invisible attacks that no galaxy scanner can detect. Once they are used up, you either launch visibly or pay 5 Urplasma for another invisible attack. The VIP program increases your daily invisible attacks (VIP Program).

The wave boss

In boss weeks an orange black hole appears that the whole universe fights together. If you send more attack power than required, you can deal up to double damage to the boss. The boss ranking rates players by the damage they dealt and alliances by their combat score.
