Synth energy, Former & AI-Core

Synth energy is the network's currency: you need it for node upgrades, Synth upgrade tiers and Synth Powered assistant slots. Upgrades also require cores. You generate most of it yourself – from Spice.

Requirement: the Quantum Array

On every planet with a Quantum Array you can build a Synth Former and a Synth AI-Core – you'll find both in the buildings view below the Quantum Array. Their level can never exceed that of the Quantum Array on the same planet, so if you want stronger programs, keep upgrading the Quantum Array too.

Synth Former

The Former converts the Spice you load into it into Synth energy – one batch every 15 minutes. You can fill it for at most 7 days in advance. The energy it produces piles up until you collect it. The higher its level, the more energy each batch yields – and the more Spice it uses. The Former pauses while you are in vacation mode.

Lucky Chance: once a day, collecting can also drop cores or fragments. Active assistants raise the chance, Assistant+ superpowers even more. So collect your energy at least once a day.

Synth AI-Core

The AI-Core tries to assemble cores or fragments from Spice. You pick one of three programs lasting 1, 3 or 7 days: longer programs cost more Spice but have a higher chance of success. The game shows you the chance of each program. A higher AI-Core level improves it but also costs more Spice. If it works, you receive cores or fragments – if it fails, you get nothing this time. Each AI-Core runs only one program at a time.

Bulk actions

In the economy view (Economy), the “Synth network” tab lets you handle all Formers and AI-Cores on your planets at once: collect energy and AI-Cores, fill Formers for 1, 2 or 3 days or completely, and start all AI-Cores with one program. Filling and starting are each free once a day. After that they cost Urplasma. From VIP level 13, Synth automation is free with no daily limit (VIP Program).
