日本語Weapons factory
All ships and defense units are built here. Every level unlocks new units and speeds up production.
The “Required for” list shows which unit you can build from which level – e.g. level 1: Small fighter, level 4: Colony ship and Recycler, level 13: Imperial starbase. The “Build time of ships & defense” column shows how much of a unit's normal build time remains at that level.
The Microsystem accelerator speeds up not only buildings but also production in the weapons factory. On the ship and defense pages you can set both levels and immediately see the build time per unit.
The Weapons factory works per planet – and on asteroids too, where you can build ships right on site, for example for a fleet that operates from there. At level 5 it unlocks the Tunnel system, at level 6 the Particle cannon.
How far you take it depends on your play style: fleet players need it high to build large fleets in reasonable time, while miners aim for the units they actually need. In live universes the biggest weapons factories are around level 50.
Background
The weapons factory is required in order to manufacture all classes of spaceships and is used to build defense installations. Productivity increases with each level and therefore leads to a reduction in the total construction time.
