In February, around Valentine's Day, the familiar treasure chest hunt turns into the Hearts event. It works like the treasure chest week of the monthly rotation (see Events), but comes with a hearts theme, its own Space Pass task and usually a shared collection bar for your alliance. It typically lasts a little over a week.
How the treasure hunt works
- Planets with treasure chests appear in the Galaxy map. A galaxy scan also tells you whether a treasure is hidden in the scanned area (see Galaxy scan).
- Send spy probes (Spy probe) on a treasure hunt to these planets. Each planet only holds a limited number of chests, and you can take each chest only once – latecomers go away empty-handed.
- Open your treasure chests in the event shop. They contain random rewards and gold.
- Trade the gold at the Gold Market for bonuses such as free Interdimensional Transmitter spins, research and building accelerators, double production, the inactive farmer, a fleet building bonus, alien bonuses or even a planet move.
Every chest you find counts as a heart for the Space Pass task "collect hearts" (see Space Pass). It also fills your alliance's collection bar: the fuller it is, the more production bonus all members get. The bar starts over every day.
