Tech tree

The tech tree shows you every building, research, ship and defense – and what you still need for each of them.

Layout

You open the tech tree from the game menu. It is split into four sections: buildings, research, spaceships and defense. Each row shows the picture and name, your current level (if you have one) and, in the Required column, all requirements in the format “Name [Level X]”.

Clicking a name opens the detail page with the description, costs and level overview.

What do the colors mean?

  • Green: all requirements are met – you can build or research it right away.
  • Red: at least one requirement is still missing.
  • In the Required column, fulfilled requirements are highlighted (green in the classic design) and missing ones are shown in red. That way you can see at a glance what is holding you back.

Planet or asteroid?

Building requirements refer to the planet you currently have selected – another planet may look completely different. Research, on the other hand, applies to your whole account.

If a building only shows Planet or Asteroid in red, it cannot be built on the selected celestial body at all: only a few buildings are allowed on asteroids, and the Galaxy scanner exists only there (Planets & Asteroids).

Ship versions

In the spaceships section, some ships have their advanced versions listed below them, connected by lines. Some of these also require progress in the alien outposts (Ship versions, Outposts).
