Spy probe

Tiny, cheap and extremely fast: the spy probe tells you what is waiting on a foreign planet.

Spy probe

Before you attack, you should know what you are up against. The spy probe reaches its target in no time and sends back a report on resources, fleet, defense and more.

How much you see depends on your Spy technology compared to your opponent's – and on how many probes you send. If your opponent is ahead in technology, you need more probes for a complete report. Read more under Espionage.

Background

The use of spy probes is very important when you need to get information about both an opponent's strength of weapons and resources. The spy probe closely observes an object from several kilometers away and can even see through dense obstacles thanks to its built-in alpha scanner. But the radiation which the spy probe uses, also known as alpha rays, gets captured by electromagnetic wave traps, making them unable to penetrate through protective barriers. It is however possible to spy on distant planets for a short period of time using the spy probe. Every level of spy technology increases the efficiency and strength of the alpha scanner, making it possible to steal more information from an opponent.
