Mortar

The mortar is the first defense installation you can build. It only costs metal and is ready in a few minutes. On its own it is weak, but in large numbers it keeps raiders with small fleets away.

• + Available right away from weapons factory level 1.
• – Low attack and a weak shield: it achieves little against well-shielded ships like the Phoenix.
