Outposts

Outposts only exist during certain events. When the invasion of the alien galaxy begins, you can set up an outpost in your command center: your settlers fly through an open wormhole (duration 15 minutes) and take over a random planet in the alien galaxy.

A world of its own

• The outpost is cut off from the rest of the universe: you cannot send ships or resources back and forth between your normal planets and the outpost.
• Your research levels apply there too, but you cannot build a research lab on the outpost. Many production bonuses do not work there.
• From the outpost you can attack, spy, recycle and save, but you cannot send transports to other players or colonize.
• There are no attack zones in the alien galaxy – anyone can attack anyone, although bash protection still applies. Outposts can be neither deleted nor moved.
• The team sets production, build speed and flight speed for each event – usually much faster than in the normal universe.

Alien waves

On your outpost the aliens attack you themselves. In events with a wave system such as Wavebreaker, you decide when: "provoke" starts a wave that only flies for a few minutes. If you destroy enough of its ships, the next, stronger wave follows automatically. If a wave fails – for example because you save your fleet – it is aborted, and you can restart it later.

Waves you beat earn you points for the wave skill tree: more base production, faster and cheaper ship building, faster defense building, more defense units, stronger ships or a chance to rebuild destroyed ships after a battle. You can reset spent points after a short waiting time.

Debris fields from alien waves belong to you alone. The Synth network has no effect in battles against alien waves.

Battle pass and rankings

During the event you earn battle pass points with daily and one-time missions – in wave events by beating waves – and unlock rewards. The VIP pass adds extra ones. The outpost ranking compares the Spice value of all outposts, and the Alien Wave Hall of Fame shows the best wave fighters.
