Specialization
Spend up to seven specialization points on Miner, Fleeter, Researcher and Alien Hunter to give your account a clear focus.
Your specialization decides what your account is especially good at. There are four paths with four tiers each: The Miner, The Fleeter, The Researcher and Alien Hunter. Every point you put into a path raises it by one tier. The game shows the exact values of each tier right on the specialization page.
How to earn points
You can collect up to seven points in total: one each for reaching 2,000,000, 10,000,000, 20,000,000, 30,000,000 and 50,000,000 points, one for completing the tutorial (see Getting Started) and one for staying out of vacation mode for a certain number of days in a row (see Vacation Mode). The specialization page shows which conditions you already meet.
The four paths
- The Miner – more production, more cargo space for your ships, stronger shield domes (Small shield dome, Large shield dome) and cheaper defense. Ideal for builders and for anyone who wants well-protected planets.
- The Fleeter – extra raid colonies (see Colonization), lower fuel costs, bonus levels for Engine research and the recycler engine, faster flights against inactive players and a higher share of stolen resources. Higher tiers add extra attacks on Spacia and one more active Galaxy scanner.
- The Researcher – shortens your running research every day and automatically protects a base amount of every resource from being plundered. The last tier also lowers fuel costs and grants one more attack on Spacia.
- Alien Hunter – more ships in your alien wave, faster attacks on aliens and lower ship requirements for alien attacks. Tier 4 also doubles the range of the alien scanner and the Spice and mentor stars you get from Red Black Holes (see Black holes).
Resetting: You can reset your points and distribute them again. After that, a cooldown runs until the next reset. The timer only starts once all available points are spent. If you own raid colonies, points are automatically assigned to them during a reset – and as long as you hold the full number of raid colonies, you cannot reset at all.
